History
HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OF QUEZON CITY, INC.

The on-going housing developments by public and private sectors in Novaliches resulted in an ever-increasing number of schools. Consequently, the situation called for an educational institution both accessible and affordable to pre-school, elementary, and high school students.

In view of the foregoing considerations, the International Christian School of Quezon City, Inc. was initially conceived way back January 1993 by the late Engr. Jose “Pepe” T. Espino. His prime consideration was to offer quality education to pre-elementary and secondary school, especially within the Novaliches area. In September of 1993, his plan started to materialize with the help of Mrs. Teresita M. Trinidad, an educator who during that time was working as an elementary school principal. Three (3) school sites were originally eyed, but the General Luis location was given the most attention because of three reasons. Firstly, severe time constraints were present. Secondly, its location is highly ideal. Lastly, its area surpassed the requirement of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS), now known as the Department of Education (DepEd).

Finally, the International Christian School of Quezon City, Inc., was set to operate privately on the school year 1994-1995, erected on a 4,300 square meter lot ready to house pre-elementary, elementary, and high school students. ICS made history in terms of its enrollment during its first year of operation and through its programs in both academic and co-curricular activities. This attracted more parents and students to enroll in the succeeding years.

About our School Seal

In the middle of our school seal is a torch. It represents our school as a source of light that guides students towards leadership and moral values.

At the right of the torch is a half ope book, symbolizing the knowledge and wisdom of the world. The dove at the left side embodies the Holy Ghost - our profound reference for the divine source of grace and life.

The laurel leaves on both sides represent excellence, which has become the school motto.

DepEd Recognized: As an officially accredited institution by the Department of Education (DepEd), we meet all the necessary educational requirements, providing our students with a recognized and credible education.

PEAC Accredited: We are proud to be accredited by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), affirming our commitment to delivering quality education and adhering to the best practices in private school management.

APSA Member: We are a proud member of The Association of Private School Administrators, Inc. (APSA), connecting us to best practices and innovations in education across the region.

Licensed Educators: All of our teachers are licensed professionals who meet the standards set by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). They undergo continuous training and professional development to ensure they deliver effective and up-to-date instruction.
